My story
Born in Mauritius and having lived and worked across Africa, Asia, Europe, and the UK, my practice as an Inclusion Architect is grounded in a global lens on human behaviour and organisational development. Through lived and professional experience across continents, I have gained deep insight into the untapped opportunities that inclusion represents for advancing organisational missions.
The first decade of my career unfolded in academia in the UK and China. I thrive in pioneering environments and played a leadership role in establishing the first foreign university in China, the University of Nottingham, where I was Director of an academic department and regional research centre. This foundation in research and critical inquiry now powers my consultancy approach enabling me to translate analytical rigor into practical, high-impact inclusion architecture strategies.
I have held a number of in-house leadership roles: including as Head of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion at the European Molecular Biology Lab and Director of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. My in-house leadership experiences, which provide me with the vantage point of insights into the realities of organisational development, are an important asset to my consultancy work. This blend of internal leadership experience and external advisory work ensures that my work in Inclusion Architecture is both strategically ambitious and grounded in the day-to-day operational context of complex institutions.
Professional development includes an Executive Programme in Organisation Leadership and Innovation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (2023), an Executive Programme in Inclusive Leadership at the London School of Economics and Political Science (2022), a CIPD Level 7 Award in Learning Design, Delivery and Evaluation (2019).
